Hi,
I lost my original passport and was issued a new passort which is valid till 12 feb 2007. I mailed my application to the indian consulate but they stamped the extension of passport for 1 more year. The first page of the passport say it expires the on 12th feb but on the next page th consular general stamped the extension of the passport till 12th jan 2008. I am goin to india on 26th jan for H1b stamping. I wanted to know what are the chances of the visa getting rejected at the US embassy. Alsp is the passport valid for travel

Dear All,
I have a question regarding the H1b visa quotas.
The USCIS website stated on April 20th that they are still accepting applications as the H1 quota of 65000+ 20000(Masters) was not full.
Does anyone have any information about the latest news in this regard?
Has the cap been met or are they still accepting applications?

I need some clarification. One of my friend confued me.:confused:
My I-485 is filed (I-140 is already approved) by my lawyer.
I am traveling in Sep end returning in Oct End.
I have my H1-B extension with me and need to get it stamped in India.
As per my lawyer, she will file for EAD and AP after I come back. I am not sure what she ment then about the she has filed my application in July.
As per her there is no issue as she will file my EAD/AP after I come back.
Will this travel be an issue in my stamping in India and/or getting back in the US after stamping?
Please advice.

If I were you, I would definitely call them or take an infopass to be aware of the current status. That way you can have a chance to know if there is something wrong and you can address that immediately.

I am working for my current company since 2001 and started GC process in 2003(EB3 10/2003). So far my company paid all expenses towards my GC. I applied for 485 in 8/07.
Recently I got an offer as Manager. This is a much better position.
If I take that offer, will my current employer have the right to cancel I-140(since he incurred all the expenses towards my GC).
My company's current lawyer will definitely send the cancellation of G-28. in addition I am sure he will also intimate that I am not working with my current employer anymore. In addition I am also afraid he might cancel my I-140 with the intimation from my current employer. In this case, is it better for me to approach a new lawyer and send the AC21 letter attaching my new offer before my current lawyer/employer does their process.
Do i need any other letter from my new employer other than the Offer Letter to send the AC21 letter?
I did not tell my new employer that I am now on EAD (becoz he does not understand anything except GC or Citizenship). is it OK if I dont tell beofre I join them?

Hi,
I am planning to get my H1B extension Visa stamped in Montreal, Canada. i am in US right now. I have completed the online application. I have paid the fee through my credit card and the status of the transaction is showing as "Pending" in my bank account. I can able to see "MRV Fee Receipt Number". i can also able to see Schedule Appointment First Available: Friday, November 12, 2010 09:30 AM. But I am not able to schedule an appointment. All of the steps I performed on Yesterday. So I have waited for today for any changes and all remains the same.
Please help me.

Hello All,
I am currently working for Employer A for the past 6 years and my current H1 is Expiring in May End 2010. MY employer says he will file the H1 in may starting. In the meantime I got an offer from a future employer B who applied for my H1 transfer in premium processing. We got an RFE and the new employer is working on that .
My question is that lets say After responding to RFE by my future employer B , god forbid say the H1 transfer is denied. Would this denial have any impact on the H1 Extension that my current employer A plans to file in couple of weeks using I-140 approved petition. Please advice ?
